El poblat de s’Illot és un dels jaciments més importants de la cultura talaiòtica i posttalaiòtica (850-123 AC), tant per la seva varietat monumental, com per la seva complexa i dilatada evolució històrica. Està format per diferents conjunts en els quals es localitzen edificis comunals al voltant dels quals s’hi construïren les cases on vivia la comunitat. Conserva un extens tram de muralla que, originalment, devia envoltar la totalitat del poblat.
El centre de visitants del poblat talaiòtic de s’Illot introdueix i complementa la visita al jaciment i pretén endinsar el visitant dins el món de la prehistòria i de la cultura talaiòtica, donant-li a conèixer qui eren, com vivien, els costums i altres característiques dels pobladors de Mallorca en aquesta època.
The settlement of s’Illot is one of the most important archaeological sites from the Talayot and post-Talayot cultures (850-123 BC), due to its monumental variety and its long and complex historical evolution. It is formed by different complexes in which we find communal buildings surrounded by the houses in which the people lived. We can still see a large section of the wall that must have originally surrounded the whole settlement.
The Visitors Centre provides an introduction to and complements the tour of the archaeological site. It takes you into the prehistoric world and the Talayot culture and shows you what the people who lived Mallorca at that time were like, how they lived, their customs and other characteristics.

Está formado por diferentes conjuntos, en los que se localizan edificios comunales, alrededor de los cuales se construyeron las casas donde vivía la comunidad. Conserva un extenso tramo de muralla, que originalmente rodearía la totalidad del poblado.
El centro de visitantes del poblado talayótico de s’Illot complementa la visita al yacimiento y pretende introducir al visitante en el mundo de la prehistoria y de la cultura talayótica, dándole a conocer, quienes eran cómo vivían, las costumbres y otras características de los pobladores de Mallorca en esta época.
Die Siedlung von s’Illot ist eine der wichtigsten archaoloischen Stätten der talayotischen und posttalayotischen Kultur (850-123 v.Chr.), sowohl wegen der monumentalen Vielfalt als auch wegen ihrer langen und komplexen geschichtlichen Entwicklung. Sie bestand aus verschiedenen Komplexen mit Gemeinschaftsgebäuden, die von den Häusern der Bewhner umgeben waren. Ein langer Abschnitt der Mauer, die ursprünglich wahrscheinlich die ganze Siedlung umgab, ist erhalten.
Das Besucherzentrum der talayotischen siedlung von s’Illot bietet eine Einführung und ergäntz den Besuch der archäologischen Stätte. Die Besucherwerden in die prähistorische Welt und die Talayot-Kultur entführt und erfahren nehr über die Menschen, die damals auf Mallorca lebten, über ihre Lebensweise, hre Bräuche und andere Charakteristiken.
